Among
the highlights: hotel acquisitions in Louisiana, California, Pittsburgh, New
Mexico and Florida.
INTERNATIONAL
REPORT — Deals in Baton Rouge, California’s wine country, Pittsburgh, Santa Fe
and St. Petersburg highlighted a busy February for hotel transactions.
The first
week of February was highlighted by Orlando, Florida-based Northshore
Development acquiring the 291-key Hilton Baton Rouge Capitol Center in Baton
Rouge, Louisiana, from Columbus, Ohio-based Rockbridge Capital for $53.4
million.
Following
that, the week of February 9-17 was spotlighted by New York City-based AWH
Partners’ acquisition of the 122-key Hotel Trio Healdsburg in Sonoma’s wine
country in California from an undisclosed seller for $38 million.
The third
week of February saw Birmingham, Alabama-based Highline Hospitality Partners
acquire the 298-key Pittsburgh Marriott North hotel from an undisclosed seller
for an undisclosed amount.
The final
week of February was highlighted by Dallas-based Ashford Hospitality Trust,
which announced the sale of two properties to undisclosed buyers as part of its
fourth-quarter earnings in late February. The REIT sold La Posada de Santa Fe
Resort & Spa in New Mexico for $57.5 million and the Hilton St. Petersburg
Bayfront hotel in Florida for $96 million.
